When I click on the link for the Facebook profiles of potential roommates, an error message pops up saying, "Sorry, this profile is not available at the moment. Please try again shortly." But whenever and whoever I try to access, it won;t let me through. It is also difficult to search and find people on Facebook.1 vote
works fine for us when we tested
I'm not sure if it's just because I'm using a Mac, but the RoomSync app is slow and unusable for me. It won't even let me "Enter Basic Information." Hopefully this isn't the only service IU offers for finding a good roommate!1 vote
When viewing "suggested" roomies, it'd be nice if there were a distinction made on the dates they need a place; whether they seek a place to room in vs having someone room in their place; show the full text of a profile details by clicking on an arrow and staying on same page as list of all suggested roomies (not bouncing back and forth to another page and then having to manually go back to list page) or responding to a bunch of suggested roomies by checking list's boxes and clicking one "submit" button to all at once. Thank you.1 vote
Ask our favorite shows and movies because we are going to be sharing those.6 votes
There has to be a better way to choose roomates! Ive been waiting for requests to be answered, and because of that I cant respond to other requests! I know its not a good idea to let people know you are their second or third choice but there should be a way to hold requests so the other person isnt just endlessly wondering if they got it or not.
Possibly a still deciding button can be added to let the other person know!4 votes
If I'm only able to stay in a specific dorm because of my major, it doesn't really do me any good to see people who probably won't be in my dorm, and yet most of my suggested roommates have totally different majors.4 votes
This is such an awesome idea, we love Omegle! We pushed hard for this feature but our dev team said it just wasn’t possible in our app due to Facebook/potential slow load times.
If anything changes, we’ll definitely reconsider this feature.
Since Facebook is the platform the users are using, being able to message through Facebook would be a more effective method of communicating with those that have signed up to relay information and updates, rather than sending emails,.18 votes
Thanks for the great feature idea! Unfortunately, if implementad now, it wouldn’t be effective —
Facebook has two inboxes, one main inbox and one called ‘other.’ All messages sent from an app to user (rather than user to user) automatically go to the other inbox. Most Facebook users are not even aware that that this ‘other’ box exists and would never see the messages.
Hope this helps! We’ll definitely look into this idea in the future if Facebook modifies messaging defaults.
